ZORAN PRVANOVIC: FOUNDER, DESIGNER

Zoran Designs Jewellery was founded by Zoran Prvanovic. Trained in Europe, Zoran's studies in the applied arts began in secondary school and finished with a bachelor of arts degree. He was chief jewellery designer for a large precious metals company until he became an independent artist and opened his own design studio through which he achieved much success in Europe. Upon moving to Canada in 1986, he established Zoran Designs and has continued to create stunning jewellery.

Zoran focuses on sophisticated, clean designs that are both contemporary and classical.  He uses unusual shapes and interesting textures to create his signature designer style. Zoran's jewellery is sculptural in nature and is often viewed as wearable art rather than conventional jewellery.

MAJA PRVANOVIC - KOGUT: OWNER, DESIGNER

Jewellery design and creation comes second nature to Maja (pro. My-a), who grew up in her father, Zoran's studio. Having inherited her father's talent, Maja took an interest in the business. Upon graduating from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, she began formally apprenticing with her father. Having a teacher with so much skill and passion for the art proved to be an invaluable experience and one that solidified Maja's desire to continue in her father's footsteps.

Maja's style, though influenced by her father's, is distinct. She likes, curves, colour and sparkle and enjoys creating trendy, fun, fashionable jewellery that has a more youthful look. Her jewellery has been well received by Zoran Designs' established customers and has attracted a new clientelle as well. Maja Prvanovic - Kogut also creates a stunning line of custom bridal jewellery that is a must see for any bride-to-be!
